The short version
Ever Yours keeps everything on the user's phone. There is no account, no Brillion server, and nothing about the user is sent to Brillion through the app.
Your steps
With permission, the app reads daily step count from Apple Health. It reads step count and nothing else, never writes information back to Apple Health, and stores the numbers only in the app's own storage on the device. Step data is used to move the user's companion along a trail. If access is denied or revoked in iOS Settings, the app continues to work but the companion stops receiving new step progress.
Your photographs
With permission, users may choose an animal photograph from their photo library or take one with the camera in the app. Users may also record a short gait video of their animal. The app uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to find and cut out the animal in the photograph and to extract its walk from the gait clip. All of this processing happens on the device. The gait clip is deleted after the walk has been extracted. No photograph or video is uploaded to Brillion or any third party.
Your journal
Places, notes, distances, and pictures entered in the journal belong to the user. They are stored on the device and are not checked, shared, or analyzed by Brillion.
Buying things
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. The app asks the App Store which content the user owns, but Brillion never receives the user's card number, Apple Account, or payment details.
Notifications
If notification permission is granted, the app schedules at most one notification per day locally on the device. Nothing is sent through Brillion and no remote notification service is involved.
What we collect
Brillion collects no personal data through the app. There is no analytics, advertising, tracking, crash reporting, location tracking, or third-party code performing any of those activities. Apple Health data, photographs, videos, journal entries, and app progress are not transmitted to Brillion.
Copies you make
Saving a copy of a journey writes one file to the location selected by the user. It does not pass through Brillion. Device backups, if enabled, are handled by Apple under the user's Apple settings and Apple's terms.
Permissions and choices
Apple Health, camera, photo-library, and notification access are optional and requested through iOS permission controls. A user may deny or revoke any permission through iOS Settings. Revoking a permission prevents future access to that protected resource but does not automatically remove app data already stored on the device.
Getting rid of your data
Deleting the app deletes everything it holds on the device, subject to any device backup managed by Apple. Brillion has no server copy of the user's app data to delete.
Children
The app collects no personal data from users of any age. If a user contacts Brillion by email, Brillion receives only the email address and information the sender chooses to include.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the in-app policy will be updated together. The date above identifies the current version.
